The Wellesley Boutique Hotel building when constructed in 1925 – 26, was the pre-eminent building in the Georgian style in Wellington, a major work of the architect, William Gray Young. It was awarded an Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1932. It has remained little changed to the present day, with all major internal spaces in near original condition and displaying the highest level of craftsmanship in fittings and finishes.
The Wellesley is a magnificently restored heritage building, designed by William Gray Young in 1927. This masterpiece was awarded a gold medal for architecture. It is regarded as Wellington's finest example of neo-Georgian architecture.
Superbly appointed, luxury Suites have been meticulously themed in the English Georgian period style with use of the finest material. Each room is of particularly generous proportions reflecting the grandeur of the building. Large ensuites have dual basins, a claw foot bath and separate shower.

We do not have car parks in our building. You can find car parking right on the corner of the hotel - a Secured Car park and a Wilson Car park. The cost ranges from $4.00 per hour to $14.00 overnight.
