Aloha Motel is a new luxury 18 room motel - opened May 2003. The complex is conveniently situated on one of the main routes into city centre.

The complex is a short walk from the Bush Inn Shopping Centre, with numerous specialty stores and supermarkets. Westfield shopping centre, an acclaimed shopping mall, is a few minutes further away, with Hoyts movie theatre. Christchurch city centre and casino and the Christchurch International Airport and railway station are all just 10 minutes away. Canterbury University and the College of Education are close by and Lincoln University is 15 minutes away. The hotel is opposite the New Riccarton Public Library and cafe.

The area is well served with recreational facilities including Addington and Riccarton Racecourses, Ruapuna Raceway, 20 golf courses, swimming pools and gymnasiums. The Sports and Entertainment Centre, which was recently completed, is only five minutes away.
