Welcome to Racecourse Backpackers Hostel - the former Racecourse Horse Stables in Christchurch, New Zealand during the 1960's.

Operated by knowledgeable staff with a foundation in the real estate industry that is positive, professional and solution-driven to provide the very best service.

The Racecourse Backpackers Hostel is situated on Racecourse Road. The main building was built with classic solid triple bricks double storey structure. The backpacker/motel styled units were constructed using comtemporary building materials, formerly horse stables. Recently spectacularly refurbished without losing the charm of the buildings. Located between Epsom Road and Racecourse Road. The Racecourse Backpackers Hostel offers quality Christchurch backpacker and youth hostel accommodation at affordable prices.

We have a wide range of private rooms, and dorm/shared rooms along with an extensive range of facilities and services including Wi-Fi and Free Parking, for casual, short and long term accommodation. Shared facilities, laundry. In addition, we have powered parking lots for caravans, campervans and motor homes. The premises are wheelchair and disability friendly.

Free WiFi is available for guests - just ask at reception for your access code.
