Fawlty Towers

Our booking included Breakfast but upon arrival we were told that that was out of the question! We only booked the hotel because it had a heated indoor pool for the kids. This was out of service. Our cabin was noisy as it had an old bar fridge in it that chugged and rattled all night. AND if that wasn't enough when we went to have a shower there was NO HOT WATER!!! THe positives would have to be the hosts. Very nice people warm and friendly.

Magic

It was only chance that brought me to stay at Chalet Swisse Spa having booked just the day before arriving. As I was driving to Batemans Bay i started to think to myself perhaps i have made the wrong decision to stay out of town, perhaps I should have just got a run of the mill hotel room near the town centre... But as soon as i arrived at the Chalet i had no regrets. Herbert and Elizabeth have created the most wonderful space just 10 mins from the beach, 15 from the town centre, nestled up in the hills over looking the bay. Somehow just being at the chalet makes you feel instantly relaxed and at peace. I stayed in a deluxe room in the chalet itself where i was lucky enough to have a tour of the chalet with Elizabeth and get a peak at a few of the other guest rooms which are all individually decked out in a kitschy, homely way that is really indescribable- i just wanted to take photos of everything!

Shopping

Shopping in the bay was great! There aren't a huge amount of shops but there is some quality. The shoe shop opposite stocklands is great, sirens boutique will leave you wishing you didn't have a credit card and the girls at prouds jewellers are gems! Ha.

Beautiful Surroundings

I had come across Chalet Swisse Spa on the internet, while looking for accommodation for my husband and I, and also for our adult children with their partners. This was to be our Christmas present to them, and therefore I had to choose with love and care. From the moment we arrived at Chalet Swisse Spa, we felt at home. We appreciated the tranquil surroundings, the gorgeous views to Mountain and the Sea. We enjoyed breakfast on the Terrace, where afterwards my family would head for the Tennis Court on the property, while I went for a little bushwalk which leads around the Chalet. On the rainy days we took advantage of their indoor pool and spa facilities. We enjoyed being close enough to the beautiful Beaches and Towns, while far enough for the crowds, when we needed to be. We really loved our stay there and we are looking forward to hopefully another stay in the near future.
