Palatial & (mostly) friendly!

We were told the Stamford was the place celebrities stayed at. We can see why. The rooms, like the entire hotel, were luxurious, clean and beautiful. The concierge boys were sol helpful and friendly. One of the young receptionists who dealt with us on our departure didn't seem very happy at her work - or at least at serving us - and made us feel it - maybe she doesn't realise that she IS the Stamford in human terms. So, apart from her, thank you.

Quality rooms

Having already spent more than a week at this place 3 years ago i was delighted to find the same quality of welcome and service once again.The place looks really well maintained. The quality of the room is superior in equipment and in maintenance. However probably due to the actual crisis and arriving on a Sunday night i have found a very minimum service at the restaurant. Room service did not answer to my calls. The location of the hotel on the river side is a + with all the good classy restaurants very close by. I have noticed and regretted the closing down of Daniel's steak house which was a reputable dining venue.
