Cairns Plaza My friend and I stayed here for our first night in Cairns. The receptionist was friendly and the room was really clean, with fresh sheets and towels. The decor is very dated and the hotel is a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The pool area is small and did not catch any of the sun. If you are looking for somewhere reasonably priced and clean then book this. For something a bit more upmarket, less shabby and closer to the city centre then don't book this hotel. Overall our stay was fine. Ratings
