Too Hot and Lousy Service

We were disappointed about the poor air conditioning in our apartment which made our stay very frustrating. Two portable fans in the bedroom at night did not assist. The delay (up to a week) in refunding the deposit is unacceptable, especially when the option of a cash deposit was not offered.

Great Price

We had stayed at this resort a few years ago and with a cost of only $108 per night we booked again. Upon arrival there was no milk available as promised and the weather guard at the bottom of the door was not working with the result of a whistle noise coming under the door , the management agreed to have guard replaced the next day we were there another two days without any action. Apart from the above we did have a great stay.

Our weekend away

We arrived to Breakfree Caloundra on friday and stayed until sunday. The location is second to none! one side is the main street of Caloundra and the other side is the waterfront. Shops, restaurants and nightclubs all within walking distance. The unit was booked for 7 people both nights and an extra bed was organized which cost me an additional $35 per night. It wasn't there the first night which fortunately didn't end up being required, but I had to chase it up for the next night - only to be told that the gentleman on reception wasn't a mind reader and that my travel agent should have made a note on the booking. After asking three times it eventually turned up very late on saturday afternoon. The lounge was stained and dirty & every single wall in the unit was extremely dirty, I explained that to reception also which they said they would look into. Apart from those hickups, the rest of the stay was great and enjoyable.
