Poor quality

I was disappointed by the standard of the room in particular the bathroom and the extra blanket. In addition I paid for a full buffet breakfast yet most of the hot dishes were empty leaving me to have toast and bacon for breakfast. I will not return.

Poor Quality of Service

We (me and my wife) stayed the night over on 08/07/2011 @ Capitol Hill Rydges in Room 168 and wish to review what we went through on that night. Room 168 was extremely cold and although heater was working it was not adequate to the needs of this room (under capacity). There were no blankets and towels were limited to one person. The condition of the room was atrocious for the category it belongs to. The quality of service at the receptions was as cold as outside temperature (-5 degrees). I am a regular vistor to Canberra and I am not sure whether I would stay again except for the 'convenient location'.

Well located hotel for business traveller

Hotel built in an amphitheatre style close to Parliament and other industry organisation headquarters. Possible to walk to many meetings and also to the lake shore, art gallery etc. Efficient and helpful front desk. Rooms very comfortable and with windows which open at admit fresh air. Only negative would be the restaurant which is a bit on the expensive side with few alternatives in the nearby area.
