Suited our purpose...a family room at the last minute for New Years Eve - however very expensive. Not that appealing otherwise, service not great, the rest of the hotel undergoing renovations and the rooms in need of an upgrade. Definitely not 4 star.

If you want a comfy, cosy spot to stay, this is it. Close to town, easy parking. We loved the Antique Suite - a home away from home. The food was great and service was generally good but I would suggest that staff knock before entering. If they do come in when someone is occupying the room, it is a good idea to let it be known that there is someone present. This might save a lot of embarrassment!!

Nice property with lots of history

Lovely looking heritage building that houses the main reception and restaurant on the lower floor and then the antique suites upstairs. We spoilt ourselves (it was my birthday!) with a suite with a four poster bed and a fireplace with arm chairs. It was pretty spacious with a large bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and a nice thoughtful touch is the juicer in their breakfast area so we could make our own freshly squeezed juice.
