Not a 5 star venue Staff at the Grand Hyatt were fantastic, very friendly, helpful, professional. The room however was not 5 star. We got the King Grand room, it was very small, the bathroom fixtures were all peeling and old, the arm chair was very badly stained. When we checked in we were to recieve a free newspaper The Age, I asked if I could get The Sunday Sun, yes but you have to pay for it and it was dearer then what I would have got off the street. Ratings

Grand Hyatt Melbourne We urgently needed last minute accommodation due to illness in the family of the friends we were supposed to be staying with. We rang the Grand Hyatt and quoted our Hyatt Gold Passport priority card number in the hopes of a securing a room, and were told they were completely booked out. This happened with a few other hotels we also have priority cards with. So we went on line at 3pm to Need It Now and found a room available at the Grand Hyatt which met our requirements AND at a great rate. We booked it and checked in one hour later. Upon arrival the hotel upgraded us to a room with a view. The rest - accommodation, service and food was all good. Ratings

Great Location and beautiful room I stayed here with a girlfriend to do some shopping. Staff where fantastic and the renovated rooms were very nice with all facitlites and amenities you would expect from a 5*...bed was awesome! Originally we had been allocated an older room, but upon check-in I asked if we could swap to a room that had been recently renovated..and we even got a 2pm check out which fitted in perfectly with our flight times. Ratings
