On arrival they didn't have us booked in til the next day. No one offered to help with our luggage despite me struggling with the added luggage of a 2yr old and stroller. I was disappointed that we were only on 11th floor with nil views from our room and obvious renovations going on above us on floor 12 with drilling etc I wondered if this was due to our booking being a secret stay and less expensive. Despite all this rooms were very nice & comfortable. Beds were wonderful. Except on one occasion they didn't clean our room untill 4pm in afternoon which is too late. Didn't eat there due to price & no suitability for toddler so went to many wonderful cafe's. For 5 star I expect a bit better service than they provided.

Tired hotel but great staff

This hotel is in the middle of a refurbishment and I had to request a room move for the second night in order to gain some peace and quiet - the drilling appeared to literally be a few metres from my door. The staff I encountered, particularly Dianna and Aaron on the front desk were both extremely courteous and professional and made the stay a pleasant one. I was given a newly refurbished room for the second night and whilst it was an improvement on the previous (quiet as well) I still do not think it could be considered 5 star. Would possibly stay there again if rate was competitive but it just isn't up there as a great hotel for me.

Disappointing

I would have liked to have taken my niece to breakfast but at $38.00 per person I think that is a little steep for a child as I know that I wouldn't have eaten that much as I have Lap Band surgury and I know she would not have eaten $38.00 worth it was a little disappointing as she would have liked the experience as she lives in the Country.
