Mystery Hotel

We booked this as a mystery hotel with the understanding that is was 5 star and close to the Rocks and Circular Quay. Never having stayed in 5 star before and certainly not having paid 5 star rates it is difficult to really rate the hotel as 5 star, although I can see how it is. However we cannot complain at all about the quality of the hotel and its staff. Having read previous reviews about the hotel, yes it does have an old style TV (but who goes away to watch tele) and yes the internet rates are outrageous but everything else was spot on. The location was excellent (train to Wynyard station) and short walk to the Rocks and Circular Quay. We received an upgrade to a corner deluxe king suite which had very nice views, although I don't think the windows are tinted!. The gym is a bit cramped but the machines were good enough to have a decent workout. Overall extremely happy with our 'mystery' choice.

Great Hotel - great Location

I have stayed at the Amora before. We love the rooms (the bathrooms are beautiful) and the location is perfect for visiting Sydney for work or pleasure. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hotel as a relaxed feel. My only criticism is that the timber finnish is some of the rooms is a little worn and tired.
