Amora Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at the Amora very much thankyou. We traveled up from Wollongong in the train and had a very short walk from the station so that was a good start. We walked or got a cab to where ever we wanted to go with no problems. My girlfriend who suffers from M.S. said she had the best night sleep she'd had in ages and i got to have a swim in the refreshing pool. The price we good was excellent also. A big tick from me. Thanks again.

Our most recent stay

Having booked a 5 star hotel my expectations were high as they should be. Checking in was the first issue as there was no parking left under the building. Concierge advised they have valet parking or the hotel owns another carpark a block and a half away. We accepted valet parking at $45.00 per day as 2 blocks away was too far for us. The issue is not the $45.00 we paid but not being advised that only down the street was a public carpark at $15.00 per day. Next we checked into our room which looked more like the forgotten room in the hotel with old milk left in the fridge, glasses not being clean, water running out of the shower and soaking all the hanging towels and a broken toilet. We were given a new room which yes was much better, but definitaley not 5 star. furniture and furnishing were old and very uninviting. Probably the only thing that we did like was the positioning of the hotel but otherwise for a 5 star hotel we will not be returning and definitaely did not enjoy

The hotel was very nice but the service was sadly lacking. The pool had no towels and even after three phone calls no towels appeared. The very next day when my room was serviced the towels were taken but not replaced. Also the milk was taken and not replaced.
