Monarch Motel offers a range of delightful, warm, affordable accommodation in a peaceful setting in Invercargill, close to civic amenities and local and regional attractions. The motel has 22 studio, one- and two-bedroom units, set in spacious grounds. All units are smoke free, serviced daily and have either a kitchen or tea, coffee and toast making facilities. Facilities include SKY TV, Trackside and wireless broadband internet in all rooms. There is a guest laundry and same day drycleaning service. There is ample off-street parking and complimentary newspapers available.

Cooked and continental breakfast is available. Room service and charge-back facilities from local restaurants.

Additional services include car storage for Stewart Island travellers, courtesy transport to and from air, coach and railway terminals by arragement.

Things to do: Oreti beach, New Zealand's second longest beach is a wonderful place in summer. And it's a really interesting drive to Riverton, a great surfing spot.

Also you may wish to visit the Catlins which boasts some of Southland's most breathtaking scenery. Or you could walk the Humpridge track or one of the many other walking and tramping tracks Southland hosts.

Furthermore if you have time Stewart Island is a must see. We can arrange flights or boat trips and get you to and from the departure points for either. Stewart Island is New Zealand�s southern most National Park and contains wonder bird and animal life, and many spectacular views.
